In the past while trying to write songs, I found myself completely stumped and unable to complete any piece of music because the lyrics stubbornly refused to come out, or complete themselves. After some time I began to think: music can capture emotion and mood without lyrics, so why not do away with lyrics completely? The instrument-driven melodies and progressions had always come to me so much more readily and naturally than the words. It was musically freeing to come to this conclusion, to write songs without lyrics. As a band, we were so much more free to produce exactly what we wanted musically, with the hope that the listener would hear the song, and experience it in a completely unique way. One person might compose their own lyrics and melodies, one might hear the song and put feelings and emotions from their life to the music. This is what we want! I won't presume to tell anyone how they should experience our music because the experience of music should be exactly as one wishes it to be. I simply hope that you will participate in the music with us, whether by creating a new melody or by adding your own images, and be moved in some way by it. Thanks for reading.
