In my ten years of occasionally decent professional journalism, a few of those years spent perusing through thousands of artists per month at a music magazine, it was too rare that I’d actually come across something that made the job seem worth it.

Among the rarest gems of the last few years for me, personally, has been finding the music of IamIsee. If rap got over it’s pubescent addiction to tits-n-money, if rap labels weren’t mostly run by conservatives or greedfiends, the music would come out sounding as creative, ingenius and inventive as the lab-creations of IamIsee. Hip Hop, in its new maturity, would be dangerous.
