Recorded in Leeds' Greenmount Studios (The Cribs, Jeffrey Lewis, Submotion Orchestra) with Lee Smith, Jamie Lockhart, and Rob Slater, Faith Taylor's debut album is the product of two years' writing and touring across the UK and USA. Moving from tales of struggle and loss to respect and accountability, songs take the listener from the North London squatting scene to the isolation of the French countryside. Taylor's single 'Foolish Age', featured on the album, has been described by For Folk's Sake as 'an absolute beauty of an ear worm that dances around your head for days'. The album features strong influences by contemporary folk and alt-country, including Patty Griffin, The Stray Birds, and Chris Pureka, with whom Taylor recently played.
