Joyce-Lou & JDMC exhibit a juicy melange of R&B, Nu Soul and Hip-Hop. The promising and fruitful collaboration between singer-songwriter Joyce-Lou van Ras and drummer/producer Jonas David Kröper started in 2011, when they met at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. By inspiring and impressing one another with their musicality, they created their story. Once you hear it’s beginning, you’ll stick around till the end. Joyce-Lou & Jonas write, record and produce their own songs. The result is a mix of R&B, Soul and Hip-Hop with inevitable Jazzy influences and an unmistakable trademark: a large vocal stratification that is due to Joyce-Lou's roots in the choral/ vocal groups. In November 2013 Joyce-Lou & JDMC recorded 10 original songs with their band in the Dutch WedgeView Studios. 2014 will be the year in which the work will be bundled and released in the form of multiple EPs and eventually an Album in the near future as well.
