I have been a musician for over 50 years, playing rock, blues, country and jazz. Over the course of time I progressed from playing drums, to guitar, to bass, and then keys. I have always had a passion for music, especially jazz and blues. Most of my previous efforts at composition have been with lyrics. At the start of this project I decided to do just instrumentals. Most of the songs on this collection are jazzy. There are however some novelty songs as well, such as Tipsy in the Rain. This little tune lets you experience a stroll in the city, with just a little to much "cheer" on board. Also in the novelty sense is "Remember the Butterfly." My tip of the hat to the psychadelic era. The last tune in that genre is "Circa 1969" which I have been told would make a great theme for a mystery style movie.
