Biography Albert Joseph Redeaux III aka Madd Creole aka Albert Redeaux (Born October 8, 1970) is an American R&B/Soul recording artist, entrepreneur, music producer and the CEO of Independent record label ATV Recordz Inc. Albert is an underground legendary personality in Texas, and has been a pioneer in the Texas hip-hop/R&B world. Albert opened the first urban recording studio in Austin and was responsible for cultivating, educating and mentoring young talent and other potential entrepreneurs on the business of music. Albert managed and promoted Austin first urban music conference and festival as well as being an inspiration to allot of young Austin musicians. [1] Early Life Albert Redeaux was born Albert Joseph Redeaux III in Austin, Texas his father was a catholic Creole born in Lafayette, Louisiana who as a child moved with his family to Houston, Texas 5th ward french town. Albert’s father began his career in well known blues group “Blues For Two” with his partner legendary blues guitarists “Clearance Green’’. Albert’s father played with Ike & Tina Turner, Johnny Taylor, Bobby Bland, Ted Taylor, Clifton Shanear, Little Richard and others. Albert’s Mother was born in Taylor, Texas and grew up in small town in Burnet, Texas. Albert Mom Ceola Arnold Carter – Redeaux aka “Little Marie” also toured with his father, she played guitar, song and at times managed the finances. When Albert’s mom became pregnant with him, she retired from music and began going to school for nursing, she would eventually receive her master degree in Physiology. In 1970 Albert’s mom married Finnis Eugene Carter Jr, Albert’s step father was in the Air force and would retire 22 years of service. Albert was registered in school as Albert Carter but his military ID card had his real birth name. Albert would not start using his birth name until 1989 when he went into the United States Navy. When Albert was 9 his family moved to the Northeast Austin neighborhood of Colony Park which is one of the worst urban neighborhoods in Austin. At age 13 Albert was arrested and charged with auto theft, Vandalism, breaking and entering and other charges. Albert was placed on probation until he reached age 18. Albert began learning about entrepreneur ship when an older cousin that he called an uncle would take him under his wing and teach Albert the art of hustlin. Albert learned to make t-shirts and sell all type of products including one of his uncle main sources of income prostitution. Albert would drive the prostitutes to meet tricks as well as collect money. In 1984 Albert’s family moved to springdale & manor road and Albert began attending middle school at Pearce Jr. High. Albert was not very academic he would often skip school, but was very active in choir were his teachers recognized his talents and began cultivating that talent. Albert’s first solo was at his middle school choir concert were Albert song the platters song ‘Only You. Girls began running to the stage and Albert’s parents were completely surprised. Albert attended one of the most popular and creative high schools in Texas Lyndon Banes Johnson (LBJ). Albert drop out of high school his freshman year but because of choir teacher Chuck Ament would continue to participate in choir concerts and contest. Albert is still recorded as the only tenor to receive a perfect score in choir competition. Albert’s was known as a great singer, musician, dresser and lady’s man with a hot temper. As a teenager people began to call him Madd Creole and in the early 90’s Albert began using his street name to produce tracks. In the 1992 Albert was approached by a child hood friend who was deep in the d**e trade but wanted to get into the music business. Albert agreed to produce tracks for his group’s album which opened the door for Albert to begin working with the Houston hip-hop legends SUC’s, Lil KeKe, Big Moe, Big Poke, ESG, HAWK, D**E E, and others. Musical Career Albert Redeaux began singing and teaching himself how to play piano and singing in choir in the 2nd grade. In 1986 Albert created a band and began using high school equipment to perform at local events. On the weekend Albert would tour Texas playing keyboard and sing in his older cousin country, Tejano, Rock & Roll, blues band. In 1992 Albert built a local recording studio and began producing music most notably was tracks that featured Legendary Texas rappers Big Moe, Lil KeKe, Big Poke, Lil Flip, E.S.G. In 1993 Albert Redeaux recorded his first solo album “Love Jones” which was released independently 1997 and although did not generate allot sales it attracted allot of industry attention. Albert began touring all over the county and eventually gained the attention of legendary dance Choreographer and manager CrazyCee of CrazyCee Production based out of New, York. Albert began opening shows for Silkk, 2 Live Crew, Genuine. In 2004 Albert and business partner Alexis Camacho aka Big Swole opened record label/production company ATV Recordz Inc. ATV’s roster includes Albert Redeaux, Big Chop, Cin-A-Mon, Angel Pimptalk 101 who are all members of the BB Nation (Block Bleedaz Nation). In 2004 Big Chop debut album “It’s About Time” featured Paul Wall. In 2006 Albert signed a production deal with Carnival Beats /Universal. In 2008 signed production deal with ShakeHouse production. In 2010 Albert released his first world wide distributed album The Albert Redeaux Project. The new album is Albert’s first time singing and producing all the music since his first album in the early 90’s. The album is an eclectic blend of sultry, sexy soul and R&B written and recorded produced entirely by Albert Redeaux.
