简介

It’s taken many years to put this CD together. I always resisted doing one because I know I’m not a great singer. But with that being said, I came to realize, when I perform at different functions that the people didn’t really care they just want to hear the writer sing their songs. So with a lot of encouragement from different people I decided to put together a Scrapbook of hits that I’ve been blessed with over the years. I’d like to first and foremost thank the Lord for all the gifts he’s given me. I’d like to thank my wife Belinda and my Sons Josh and Nick, because they sacrificed the most. Over the period of years it took for these songs to be written and come out, I was on the road for most of them playing guitar for Eddy Raven, Marie Osmond and being a part of the duo Baker and Myers and I missed a lot of things. I want to thank them for their love and support and for understanding why I was gone all the time. I’d like to thank Eddy Raven for taking a young man under his wing and giving him the opportunity to succeed and teaching him the craft of songwriting. I’d like to thank the artists. John Michael Montgomery, All 4 One, Eddy Raven, Eddie Rabbitt, Crystal Gayle, Alabama, Lonestar, Travis Tritt, John Mellencamp and Doug Stone for believing in the songs and doing such a great job. The producers, David Malloy, Paul Worley, Josh Leo, Doug Johnson, Dann Huff, David Foster and Billy Joe Walker Jr for bringing these songs to life. My co-writers Eddy Raven, Gary Baker, Don Pfrimmer, Richie McDonald and Michael Bradford for putting up with me J I want to send out a special thank you to Crystal Gayle for singing “You and I” with me. What an honor! You’re still as great as you ever were. Also to Dave Pomeroy, Eric Darken and Johnathan Yudkin for their musical expertise and for working so hard. To my dad Melvin “Pee Wee” Myers who was a great singer and fiddle player himself, who taught me to play guitar and gave me the love for the music. He passed away in “84” but I know he’s been watching and listening. My mother Eva for her love, support and prayers she still sends out to me. Her mother and my grandmother, Doris was also a songwriter! I’d like to thank my brothers Melvin and Doug and my sisters Betty and Joyce for their love and support through the years. And last but not least I’d like to thank all the radio stations that played and still play the music. And to all the fans who not only called in and requested the songs but went out and bought a record. I hope you enjoy my versions of the songs you helped make hits!
