With an acoustic guitar and a heavy heart, Bre Marin combines somber melodies with introspective lyrics to create a soft, melancholy, indie vibe that is personal yet relatable. "I want people to listen to my music and think 'This is it. This is what I was trying to say, but couldn't.' I want to take you back to that place or that person that made you fall both in and out of love. To the one that broke you or the one who put you back together. I just want you to remember." Bre Marin uprooted from her quaint small town country life in pursuit of bigger and better things. She found these things in the city of Fort Lauderdale, FL., where she currently resides. "I'm on a journey. It's unknown and that’s okay. I'll take it one step at a time and pray that I stumble upon greatness. After all, you're never truly lost, you're simply on an adventure." Bre writes her music about real life experiences, both things that she's been through and things she is currently going through. Writing music is the way she copes and deals with her emotions and she wants it to be an outlet that other people can use to cope as well. Sometimes it's hard to put how and what you feel into words and she wants her music to help people express themselves. She channels artists such as Ed Sheeran, Sara Bareilles, and Ingrid Michaelson, all the while breaking and stitching her heart with every line she inks onto the page.
