Alex Marenga aka AMPTEK ,composer, guitarist, video director, dj and electronic musician. He founded his experimental project AMPTEK, the electro-funk crossover band "Entropia", the techno-electro project Auto.Vox, the ambient project "Ziqqurat Vertigo", the experimental band "Frammenti di Caos", and the avantgarde open-band "Exit Strategy". He collaborated with dj Prince Faster in two projects: "CodaMozza" and "Miccia Corta". With AMPTEK name he recorded e.p. and albums for Nature records ,Timeout Records, Syncretic Records and his label Eclectic Records, his remixed tracks published with BMG Ariola, Nature, BrokenPot Hill, Slavik and more. As composer, guitarist and producer, Amptek recorded with band Entropia three albums, "Imaginary Solutions" (1997), "Vertical Invader" (2000) and "The Ultimate Eclectic Cinedelic Experience (funky cops and hardboiled girls)" (Noshame USA) (2005). He played with this bands in many festival and rave parties: Distorsionie, Electroma, Bitz, Knitting Factory(L.A.) ,Gazodrome, Roma Incontra il Mondo and more. He created some musical shows on the italian radios, like "La Danza della Mente" and "Musica Machina" with "Recycle" crew ,"The ZONE" with Lius and DjMat, "Falso Movimento" with Giona A. Nazzaro. He collaborated with other projects and artists like Recycle, the actor Remo Remotti, teh poet Eva Milan, the singer Mauro Tiberi, Simmetrie, Epsilon Indi, Deriva ,Yax and in the last years with Prince Faster the poet and singer Daniele Amenta ,and Etruiria Criminale Banda (ECB Post Popular Orchestra). He founded the indipendent label "Eclectic Records/Productions" and the visual project "Ampgan Soyuz" with the journalist and writer Giona A. Nazzaro. In the last years his experimentation taked several directions, like guitarist in electronic manipulation of guitar timbres, like electronic musician in the possibilities of spatialization of the sounds through the use of quadriphonic or surrounds systems. Amptek are composer of music for motion pictures, television show, cd-rom, dvd and web sites.
