Shawn Platzker started writing music in 2012 as he began to feel a frustration in playing other people's music poorly. With heavy influences in Pop, Rock, Blues and Jazz - Shawn set out to write his musical ideas into grooves and tunes that expressed his mind. The first of these musical ideas was "THERE YOU ARE" and although it is only one of many of Shawn's compositions, he feels it is appropriate it is the first to be released. At the core of his playing and writing is the desire to express and artfully create sounds, hopefully this appeals to more than just him!
