Billy has been writing and performing traditional country music for a number of years. He has played with his band, Billy McCoy Trio at the Embers Club for the past 36 years. The Billy McCoy Trio has been recognized as a top country band in Oregon. Their special appearances include dances, rodeos, and as back up band for name country Artists that tour the state. Billy has received numerous write-ups in local newspapers as well as national recognition from country music fans in the USA. He also captivates an international fan base extending to Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Tracks from his CD's "We Are Forever" and "The Big Picture" have been on the European Charts, reaching an impressive high of #4. Billy's biggest fan is his wife Nancy, for whom he wrote one of the songs on his latest CD "Ballad Of Grandpa James" titled "My Dreams Just Keep Coming True". "Ballad Of Grandpa James" has just been released in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand and already getting super airplay.
