Patrik Jansson Band was formed in Stockholm, Sweden in late 2007. After playing drums in various rock acts, blues bands and jazz combos for several years on and off, Patrik decided it was time for another challenge. He picked up the guitar and started playing and singing in hopes of developing as a songwriter and a musician. “I’ve always loved to learn new things” he says, and with a new mission in life he started looking for musicians to play with. “I had a pretty clear idea of what I was looking for” he says, “I wanted to play blues with a modern approach. Blues is supposed to feel fresh and alive, it’s a most vital music in my opinion, or at least it can be if given a chance. In short I wanted to play the kind of music that I would like to hear myself and that I think a lot of other people would like and appreciate”.

This CD marks the debut of Patrik Jansson (Maryslim, Hellsingland Underground, Chris Laney among others) as a composer, bandleader, lead singer and guitar player and with him he's got Henning Axelsson (Ane Brun, Claes Yngström, Veronica Maggio) on keyboards, Fredrik Hartelius (Sewer Grooves) on drums, and Per Enstedt on bass. The CD contains 10 originals, written and arranged by Patrik Jansson and it was recorded and mixed in Studio Music Solutions, Stockholm by Christoffer Wetterström and Patrik Jansson.
