HOME FERMENTING" is the 3rd album of a Japanese singer-songwriter Mimlus Naito Akiko. From Mimlus : I'm a homebody. So the stay-home restriction against the spread of covid19 was a period I felt lucky , as it gave me a good excuse to stay at home. This album is full of all my favorite sounds that I found and what I was thinking about during that time when the world went quiet. It became a collection of 80s sounds - smooth city-pops - pure acoustic sounds, all lined up to fit in together to form a subtlety but cozy album. It is fermented pop music, completely home-recorded for a year with two additional musicians. Everything around my place like dishes and slippers was turned into musical instruments, sampled and layered throughout this album.
