Few artists Travis’s age can say that they’ve achieved the level of success he has facing the obstacles set before him. Persevering through the struggle of a Bronx homeless shelter, an infirm father, and depress struck mother, only to arrive on the door steps of greatness as an American Idol. And then to have that door seemingly shut in his face when the judges voted him off the show. Still, Travis has used the time away from the show to perfect his craft and focus on his energy on education.
