Billy Nasty专辑介绍:by JoE Silva Focusing on the electro producers who have piqued his interest over the past few years, Londoner Billy Nasty plows through 16 tracks of material geared toward the purist. Suitably, the opening cut by the Blotnick Brothers ("Taxi Simulator 2000") slots well into the Kraftwerk model that Nasty admires so. From there, the pace picks up some beginning with Andreas Bolz's spacey "Muzik" and on through to the somewhat stark but certainly more funky "Nothing Lasts" by the Hacker. But while the history of electro is particularly rich, its limitation as a dance form becomes more apparent over the long haul of this collection. The standard robotic voices and limited melodies tend not to carry some of the weaker tracks, like Chris McCormack's "Earth, Wind And Fire." But Nasty is sensitive enough to the variety of a good mix to have licensed interesting tracks like the sinister "Spannungsabfall" by Labor E to offset the duller moments.
