Savv’s unique sounds is inspired from real life experiences meshed with undying commitment to his craft.” Partial to the golden era of hip hop, Savv started listening to rap music at a very young age. The lyrics of artists such as Ice Cube and DJ Quik became more magnetic, especially after every confiscation his mother would make of his explicit tapes. Parental Advisory stickers became beacons for the young MC to follow. “I was drawn to the realness of what they were saying,” says SAVV. “The fact that they were talking about things that were real to my environment helped ingrain in me a level of truth that I try to embed in everything that I write.” Green City marks the beginning of Savv’s professional career. The group consisted of four young talented artists that had the opportunity to perform alongside Living Legends, Blackalicious, Keak da Sneak, as well as headlining at universities in the southern CA area. The group released the critically acclaimed album “The Epidemic”. After reaching a fair amount of success, the group imploded due to internal problems and creative differences. With the continuous urge to create songs and produce music SAVV released songs that were showcased through various media outlets. These include the independent film “Next of Kin”, theme song on homepage of VITAMINTHICK clothing and various mixtapes. Along with his musical accomplishments, SAVV’s image attracted the attention of MILL BROX, an upcoming clothing line, leading to a modeling contract. Upon dismantling of his group Green City, Savv emerges as a solo artist and is rebranding himself in the music industry. “The industry tends to pigeon-hole artists or place them in a box, I want to transcend genres with my music to encompass the full gamut of human experience.” Currently, Savv is preparing for a Pacific Southwest College Tour starting September 2015.
