Adrian grew up in North London listening to his family's records: an eclectic mix of music from reggae to rock, country to soul. While these have shaped his style as a singer and songwriter, somehow he has achieved a voice that is uniquely his own. His personal musical journey started out as a solitary venture, but fellow musicians have been recruited along the way. Whilst recording his first album, "Welcome to One Man Town," he began playing regularly with songwriter Beth Dariti as a duo for several years in venues such as Camden's Green Note and The Troubadour in Earls Court. In February of 2008, they were joined by drummer Dan Paton and cellist/bassist Simon Lewis to create a four-piece, Adrian Roye and the Exiles. Currently performing at venues across London, they have just finished recording their first eagerly awaited EP, Telephones & Trafficlights, which will be released in Spring 2009.
