indaculture is a band from rockaway beach queens that has been playing in bars for nine years. they play primarily in the northeast, but have performed several times in puerto rico as well. the lineup of the band on their self titled cd is as follows. jenna baker, vocals danny mulvanerty, vocals, guitar christopher james rudolph, vocals, guitar robert butler, bass, vocals philip kadet, keys/synth matt allen, drums indaculture enjoys bars and fun parties. they all like to drink heavily. in fact, this makes the band somewhat hit or miss, but always entertaining. indaculture recorder a diy cd entitled "one more for the road" in 2006, but its poor quality and lack of commitment towards sales and distribution made it dissappear off the face of the earth. other songs by indaculture that are not on the album include surfing in orange, cosmosis, i shall not be moved, the eddie wolfe, callaghan's midnight ride, the sausage song, live it up, shameless blue, bungalow boogie, one more for the road, morgantown indaculture made its live debut at patricks in rockaway beach. they let the band play and they let the 15-17 year old fans drink. it was a win win situation. the place has since burned down mysteriously after a large insurance policy was taken out by the owners. the band grew up and began its tenure at connollys. connollys is summer bar that indaculture calls home. The band also plays frequently in the new paltz area at a bar called snugs. Indaculture packs the f*in house just about everytime. Indaculture is also known to bring the thunder. this cd itself was recorded in one long grueling studio session at "the sweatshop" in williamsberg, brooklyn. Indaculture was scared of getting beat down by yuppies with trendy pants when they crossed the bridge to record. luckily they made it out alive with an incredible recording. The studio engineer is Z jadwick. He's pretty badass and he managed to record a full legnth album in 1 sitting. He "compressed the sh*t" out of the tracks and made it sound really good. He also let the band drink and smoke cigarettes the entire time. he didnt complain about his expensive equipment being at risk, and he didnt complain when members of the band fought drunk in the hallways during the mixdown. he also invited the band to one of his summer partys in rockaway and served steak. Steak! the art is done by the bassist's sister marybeth. shes an awesome artist and got real pissed when the prints came out so dark.
