Born in Montana and raised between Calgary and Toronto, Makk Mikkael grew familiar with a nomadic lifestyle. The one constant that always remained was music. At the young age of 8, Makk graced a stage for the first time - a stage at a dive bar with her mom’s country band but a stage no less. From this moment, she knew her calling. At 21 years old, Makk moved to Montreal where she found a community of fellow artists and producers. Her voice became the muse of producer Alex Lustig (Drake, Machine Gun Kelly, PartyNextDoor) who she released several songs with. She also collaborated heavily with Cecile Believe (A. G. Cook, SOPHIE, Shygirl) who produced most of Makk's early 2022 EP, Practicing Punches released on Terrible Records. Now based in Los Angeles, Makk has built an even larger network of creatives, working with artist and producer Oscar Scheller (PinkPantheress, Arlo Parks, Lady Gaga) on her recent singles and playing shows with artists like CARR and Liam Benzvi. Makk recently finished an EP in collaboration with songwriter Erica Leva (Iggy Azalea, Chappell Roan, DNCE, Olivia Holt). Coming up in 2024-2025, Makk plans to release a debut 11 track album produced by Oscar Scheller. "Bite Back" is Makk's first single off of her debut album produced by Oscar Scheller coming out in 2025.
