"Red Face" symbolizes musical exploration in the Southern Appalachians, covering a variety of moods, feelings, and genres. This album delivers nothing short of a rugged, yet refined musical experience. Ian Feathers spent the last 15 years playing all over the region, sharing jam sessions, stages, and stories with some of East Tennessee's and Western North Carolina's most talented musicians and artists. Growing up on a farm outside of Bristol, Tennessee provided a great foundation, but the future brought its share of hardship. Along with it came the realization that the family farm would pass like the seasons. Spending some time on the Appalachian Trail, obtaining an education, and starting a family took care of any idle time spent worrying about the past. These songs were written around these authentic experiences, providing a canvas for thought as you listen through a mosaic of time. We did not use any tuning modifications or physical alterations of the recorded tracks. Sit back and enjoy this honest, original album.
