Meet ED THOMPSON www.edthompsonlive.com “Hardly anyone knows this,” Ed Thompson says with a big smile, “but I’m really quite famous.” And with that, you get a quick glimpse into the fun and good-natured personality of this creative and talented Christian singer and entertainer. Not only has he shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Christian music, but Grammy Award winning artist Bob Carlisle of “Butterfly Kisses” fame is quoted as saying, “Ed Thompson is one of the best Christian entertainers I’ve ever seen.” Thompson has been entertaining audiences around the country for over 25 years with his award winning voice and hilarious comedy routines. “I’m getting close to becoming an over-night success,” he quips. And while I don’t play the piano, I do have a couple of trumpets…” he says referring to his incredible “solo trumpet duet” routine that has been downloaded on places like YouTube and Stupid Videos over one million combined times. And while the entertainment is superb, what most will remember is a special moment or two where the entertainment stops and Ed shares from his heart. “Hey, I’m a dad and husband,” he says, “who has all sorts of flaws and blemishes and struggles just like everybody else. But for reasons I may not ever fully understand, God loves me anyway.
