Jennifer Cooper and Carl Reichelt represent the duo aspect of the five-member band, GrooveSpan. They offer the widest variety of styles at the highest quality, most often covering genres such as blues, jazz, folk, pop, and more. The two are in high demand for various live performances at private events, public venues, music festivals, and even showcases and cabarets which feature art song, opera and musical theater. Jennifer's career began as a professional opera singer during which time she received rave reviews for more than thirty principle roles and concert appearances throughout Europe, Canada, and the USA. After a lengthy hiatus from performing due to a medical setback, she returned to the stage as a popular music songstress and has created, produced and starred in original musical productions such as Go-DIVA! (one-woman autobiographical cabaret), Velvet Nights (international cabaret), Sentimental Journey (WWII era tribute), Only Yesterday (Carpenters tribute), Opera/Broadway Nights (showcase cabarets), and others. She remains in constant demand with her band, GrooveSpan, while also maintaining a private voice studio. Guitarist, Carl Reichelt, excels in genres ranging from rock to jazz, blues to art song, on both electric and acoustic guitar, all stemming from an auto-didactic music education. A prolific composer and songwriter, he also creates intricate guitar arrangements and accompaniments of songs from various genres to accommodate and enhance collaborations with other musical artists. With more than twenty years of performance experience, Carl is best known for his work with local iconic groups such as Square Noon, Romi, Upstroke, and Round Midnite. He performs regularly with Jennifer in GrooveSpan, of which he is an original founding member.
