简介
inspired by the movie Blade Runner and the neon cityscapes of Star Wars and many other sci-fi movies, this Concept Mood album is the unique audio vision of Joel Starr. The sounds meant to evoke the futuristic undertones of living in a Neo-Metropolis wonderland amongst Odd Creatures and Interesting Beings and using music to permeate like Dark Energy throughout the atmosphere of these elements. FUTURELECTRO MUSIC This is the new name of a new era of music - a name to elevate Nu-Jazz into a Future-Hop realm and twisting elements of Space-Funk, Moon-Rock, Mars-Heat and Jupiter Soul. Joel passed away in the middle of producing this album last Summer 2008. As the deep and storied album art included shows, Joel was an International Superstarr, a Barista amongst many other trades and labels in life. An awesome brother, son and uncle, this man was my great friend for almost half of my life. To the many of you reading this who knew Joel personally, I am sorry for this situation and your feelings of loss, but this is the soul-solution to persevere and elevate out of the mourning realm and start to memorialize this genius and classic personality. For way over a year I have been working on this, pouring over the files one collects in a modern computing life, using both files we were producing together while Joel was living in Los Angeles - I had the privilege of hosting him at the new Crypticon Compound so the fates knew he was to grace the new studio with his being and essence - making it easier for me to make editing decisions on his album, as I felt since he had been here before he could guide himself in the afterlife back and shake my electrical lines or spook me in the ultraviolet if I had done something he did not like. I hope you can enjoy this production as it was a pleasure for me to smile through the lens of Joel's photography and all the people he interacted with in this life. I will be posting his photography and other J-Starr music on the commemorative Myspace page we have for him. Also in his memory and to channel proceeds from his part on the album, the DJ ROCKSTARR FOUNDATION has been created to showcase the ideals that the Superproducer in Joel Starr would have done anyway. GO HERE TO EXPERIENCE MORE J-STARR: http://www.myspace.com/DJRockStarrFoundation Once again from the the most personal production of my life and one I feel respects Joel in the highest regard I thank all of you for making life all the more interesting and full of humanity. When you feel your spirits fading, just go talk with someone random and learn about their life. We need to spread our experiences through communication - or one day we will lose all we have accumulated in our personal journeys as humans on this planet. For Joel, my friend eternal, Snaps Provolone
