Cogeta is a Swiss born, German and UK-raised, Vancouver based hip hop artist who has been writing and recording from the young age of 12. His music is highly focused on lyrical and melodic content while pushing the musical boundaries of hip-hop. Born in basel, Switzerland, 23-year old Cogeta (Manuel Schneider) moved to the UK at age 14 where he started writing his own lyrics. Soon thereafter, he started recording songs at a local youth centre and fell in love with the craft. In 2007, he, along with his family, made the move to Vancouver, BC where he resides and continues to release music to this day. Cogeta has built a name for himself performing at local events including showcases, club appearances and various parties, winning emcee competitions, and opening for various touring acts in Vancouver including Waka Flocka Flame. His future holds his first EP coming soon which will showcase his artistry as a songwriter, a rapper and a singer.

Royalty is a more melodic departure from Cogeta's usual hard-hitting rap songs. Not straying too far, he still delivers the wit, lyricism and story-telling rhymes his fans are used to. With expressive production from Tony Amaretto (aka Tommy Armitano), this track is a reflective, moody track with hard kick.
