My music is meant to give listeners something different. Most of the songs I write are meant to tap into real emotions that we all go through but provide some kind of relief on the other side. Having been raised in the south, a soulful sound is part of my upbringing. My love for country music came at an early point in my life as well. Over the years, I've had the wonderful opportunity to blend the sounds. While I may not be Donnie and Marie, I can say that I'm a little bit country and a little bit soul! I have grown up listening to the likes of Reba McEntire, Barbara Mandrell, Martina McBride, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, and Tina Turner. These women have inspired me to keep true to me and my sound and tell the message that I want to tell with my music. My message is simple, I know that we can all overcome and that music is an amazing avenue to help accomplish that task! Be blessed, keep hope alive, and never give up. My favorite quote says, "There is no lemon so sour that you can't make lemonade." I use this when I write and when I sing. I can always make the best out of things, and so can you!
