简介
Hi, I’m Danica. I’ve been in love with life and people since the day I was born. I express all the things associated with love (ecstasy, lust, despair, bliss, heartbreak, excitement, pain, anger, anxiety, neglect, betrayal, confusion, happiness) through music. Here’s my bio/ Website: Singer/Songwriter: www.danicathemorningstar.com Born and raised in the heart of Hollywood, Danica was introduced to jazz by mother of American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee, Peisha McPhee, who helped hone and craft her singing skills. Peisha also introduced her to the likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan, allowing Danica to build a strong (and soulful) musical foundation. Pursuing higher education, Danica studied at The University of Southern California, where she gravitated from Jazz to Contemporary R & B. It was through a school mate and fellow artist Nathaniel Dawkins --better known as Aloe Blacc -- that she was first introduced to the world of hip-hop. After performing in several raves with newfound friend Aloe, Danica met record producer Lamar Van Sciver of The Ambassadors. Together they recorded her first single, “Wanna Go Back.” Not one to just settle for being a performing artist, and encouraged by this new business relationship, Danica dove in to the world of songwriting for herself as well as other artists. Danica continued to write and record, eventually receiving her first placement on the 2007 movie Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story with a song called “You Make Me So Hard.” The placements continued for Danica, including her song "Rich and Famous" recently used by Showtime's "Shameless" and “Wanna Go Back” which was used by the CW's show “The Secret Life of An American Teenager.” Danica's biggest placement to date has been the song “Kiss Kiss Kiss”, produced by Jimmy Deer, whom she met in 2010. This feature title can be heard on ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl, NBC's Community, and the CW's The Secret Circle. Other TV credits include the theme song on the NBC acapella singing contest, “The Sing Off.” Whether it's serving as a recording artist, a songwriter, a hook specialist, voice over artist, or creating a perfect theme song for television or film, Danica remains multifaceted and ever evolving. Production: Makin’ it Hot Productions LLC/ The Ambassadors: The Ambassadors, headed by Lamar Van Sciver, is a team comprised of music producers, songwriters, composers, and sound engineers.
