This album Influences, is a mix f all the music I like the best, Jazz, Latin, R&&B, Blues, Fusion, Brazilian, African, Caribbean, Rock, Funk, and more. I accomplished a mix of sounds and rhythms and composed those tracks, getting off the standard ways and bending the rules a little bit.

I was born in the Dominican Republic, later live in Puerto Rico. I develop a passion for Rhythms, after a short time in the Conservatory of Music in Santo Domingo, where I started with the Piano well I play some piano by ear. The drums came right after I move to Puerto Rico and then the Timbales follow by the Congas, an instrument I did not want to play, because it look like it hurts, well, I came into the Rumba group in Dr. Jose M. Lazaro (KODAK) High School and because I was the new guy I started with a base simple beat, then the more experts Rumberos played the more advanced Rhythms. Later I move back to the Dominican Republic and started playing around with some friends, but I escalated to play with Big Bands, Fusion Bands, Merengue Bands, Progressive Jazz, and then anything from R&B to Pop, Disco and more. This led me to listen to all kind of music and different styles and Rhythms from around the world. I started recording this album in 1999. During those years I was thinking in doing a simple pattern, that is when I came with Nemil's Songo, a mix of Rhythms and I created an original Clave.
