I been through a lot and I'm still here so, there you go. Anyway about the music: First 6 songs made in 2006. Other songs unreleased but date randomly back to 1988. 1. Man of Steel: Basically turntables are steel, mikes are steel, I work both and I will overcome obstacles. 2. Summa Dat: When you see something tight you gain strenth and energy when you get summa dat. The girl, the car, the new song from Johnny Afro...You need summa dat. 3. Bounce Wit Chu: Some thick a** girl from the gym put herself in my life for a moment and inspired me to write bounce wit cha. 4. Crackin' Hour: Was djing at a club in Mountain View, CA and had the club crackin' at about 11pm. I created this song as a reflection of that era. That's the time everybody rushes the dance floor the party knocks the hardest. the dj is cuttin' the slappin, bangin, beats. It's the Crackin' Hour! 5. Mystery Shopper: Basically in any service organization for checks and balances they have a mystery shopper. I'm the mystery shopper, so watch out...ha ha ha! 6. More 4 Your Money: Have you ever strong, happy content when listening to great music. Lyrically and musically Johnny Afro's music gets you more for your money and you feel like you must by it for yourself and friends, family and foes. Every track he has every made it the reason you feel good in life. don't you feel that deep inside? 7. Knock It Out (B): Song from the Knock It Out album of 2005. Just equalized different in a self-mastering attempt. Most of it is pretty much the same as the 2005 version. 8. Egypt Funk Remix: My remix of a joint venture with a record collecting crew out of Frankfurt. Beats and vocals sent over the internet...Rock Rock On. Old school style uptempo, electro, miami bass type song. 9.: Tread Mill: My friends say as I dj and mix and scratch I look like I'm riding a tread mill. So they had a dance where they imitated me. Mystike and I memoralized this dance with flows on this tracks. As a spoof on Sf Bay Music where we live we shout out to represent the cities no rapper ever mentions. They usually represent Oakland, Sf, and East Palo Alto. We name several of the obscure city's in the Bay Area. Few know the San Francisco International Airport is really in Brisbane...Bay Area Represent!!! 10. Master: Old School Freestyle letting you know some thoughts about being a lyrical mastermind. 11. Did I do That: At one time I created an alter ego: Funkenstone. This was his first song, he is a mad scientist who's sassy attitude and crazy lyrics and flow will keep you entertained. 12. Perpetual Motion: Another song by Alter Ego: Funkenstone: This bassline is stupid mad scientest style. While they said it couldn't be done funkenstone explains how he invented perpetual motion. 13. Straight Out The Jungle: Yet another alter ego of mine: Bigfoot. Bigfoot is an actual bigfoot creature that has come out of the wild on occaision to rock realism on the mike. Straight out the jungle rough scary flow comes over straight jungle sounding toms and is sure to scare phony gangster rappers and children. 14. My Spot The Woods: This was the debut song by alter ego bigfoot. He warns humans to stay out the woods this ain't a safe place like your hood. this is the wild and humans can't even hang with a real rapper from the woods. 15. Criminal Apriori (B): This is a redo of the first Criminal Apriori: The song is that feeling us black men have when we're considered criminals when we haven't done wrong. We are often dealt with as if we were wild animals, hunted locked up and killed before there is any reason to believe we've done anything unlawful. Criminal Apriori 16. What Can They Say: A song inspired or for my older brothers (RIP) Marky Man, (RIP) Keithy KK, describin how I do my work in the late night with persistence in order to achieve...What Can They Say - I'm succeeding anyway!! 17. Strickly 4 Da Punks: This is a story about a studio I ran that got broken into by one of my clients. He was a young dumb gangster who tried to play me but God helped me through this situation by providing me enough stupidity, courage and lack of common sense to pull this off without getting my a** killed. Miracles never cease. This is a true story with some minor details changed just a little (so long ago I forgot the reason...probably to make the song short enough). 18. It's what I'm doing: This song was made a long time ago. Probably in the late 80's. The lyrics are just another description of my life. I rapped this song over 70 times when I was making it and just got frustrated and left this as the version. In my mind the delivery was always different than it sounded off the tape. I was my own engineer, producer, etc. pushin the buttons running behind the mike, eq, etc. It was rought during this era. I kept this song just as a reminder to compare my progress fromt he first songs made 1-6 in 2006 with these other songs made in random years dating back to 1988.
