Lucy and Marshall have been playing music together since 2004. The idea for this CD came from some emails with Steffans Hardin, an amazing bass player and overall great guy. He was setting up a studio at his home and wanted to test out the equipment with folks who played all acoustic. With Marshall changing around on fiddle, banjo, dulcimer, guitar, and mandolin, it was the perfect test run. Steffans loves my singing, and I love his bass playing, and then he rounded up his son Ryle and a couple of Ryle's friends to give a children's chorus on a couple songs. Unlike our other recordings, we did this one for the fun of it. One of our favorite places to play is at the farmer's market in the summer, watching the kids stop their parents to come listen, and the kids get out of their strollers and dance. We hope that this CD will inspire dancing in the home, too (but please keep your seat belt on if you listen in the car). Thanks!
