简介
Sunih Reed started singing when he was four years of age. His mother Ella Mae Reed put him in a youth choir at St. Paul Holiness church of Rochester N, Y. When Sunih reached the third grade at 9 years of age he wrote his very first R&B song with a former best friend Sheldon gross entitled Kiss, And Hug. By the time Sunih reached his ninth grade year at East High School of Rochester N, Y he suddenly lost his interest in music and gained an interest for the streets. He then was headed for the wrong direction until his God Brother Jerry (Jay-L) Latimer set his mind back towards music. Sunih then joined a choir called Disciples For Christ out of Rochester N, Y. When Sunih entered his tenth grade year him and a friend named Kourtney Miller entered the high school talent show. Sunih was a bit nervous it was his first time actually performing in front of so many people. The dual sung Sweet Lady by the famous Tyrese a popular song at that time. The two were disqualified for jumping off the stage and taking off there shirts. A Story To Tell This is a solid R&B album with a good balance of rhythmic texture, rich vocals and electronics. Each song incorporates an original mix of piano, synthesizer and drum beats that give each track a uniquely elegant feel. This music is reminiscent of Ne-Yo and R. Kelly, favoring a relaxed pace with a strong R&B groove. Track 1 What We Had – The perfect slow R&B track. Backing piano and minimalist bongo beats work perfectly with layered vocals. Track 6 Make You Mine - A smooth deep track with heart to spare. As layered and enchanting as Boys to Men, the song just flows like a river. The chorus will stick in your head after one listening - a strong ingredient to a radio hit. Track 8 Don’t Want U Back – This danceable track will grab the listener with its unique opening beat and deep string harmonies. The syncopated drum blends well with varying electronic beats, providing a catchy base for the rich vocals and impressive rap bridge. Track 11 Blinded – A fantastic track featuring shimmering piano that contrasts perfectly with a strong bass line and smooth vocal harmonies. Static electronic accents add a new dimension to the song, further showcasing Reed’s versatile style. Reviewed by Hannah VanderPoel of Bryan Farrish Radio Promotion.
