This album represents the beginning of my career as a solo guitar player and it fulfills an old dream that I had,which it was to record and album playing my favorite style of music.Instrumental music! I grew up listening to guitarists such as Joe Satriani,Steve Vai,Gary Moore,Nuno Bettencourt,Eddie Van Halen and many other great names that have mastered this instrument and in a way this first work is a tribute to all of them,including my teachers from the past and all the other guys I´ve meet throughout these 25 years playing "the axe" . The record sums up 15 years of music writing that I've just now got a chance to put together,and it represents all the suffering,happiness,pain,joy,laughter and crying that I've faced these past years. The process of recording this album itself was a great journey into self discovery and it has brought me to a new level as a person,musician,guitarist and most of all showed me that I´m capable of doing things that even I thought would never happen. It took almost 2 years of learning,upgrading technics,training new things,trusting myself and my capabilities as a musician to get this album done,and that has been the greatest prize I could ever get for this!It showed me a lot about myself and also about many of the people who were around me as well. Forging partnerships with great people for future work and prosperity and also parting ways with worthless people that always try to hold you back.It has renewed most of my life in ways even I never thought would change and that has been one of the greatests surprises! Some of the songs in this album I wrote years and years ago,some other songs came out in the last few months and this is something that I enjoy about this work,because it shows my inspirations,ideias,influences,styles and preferences over a long period of time and it created for me an "identity" as to where my music can go. I decided once I set my goal of creating this album,to do everything myself so I could not only learn the entire process,but also have absolute control over the writing,publishing and creating process so in that way I felt my true style and image would be realized throughout the music that I created. The fun I've had creating and recording this album has build a new set of parameters that I will take with me from now on and it has inspired me to achieve much more.The name of the album itself portrays this feeling when it comes to realizing the things that most have ever matter to me!
