A Howard Finster painting just came unhinged and turned into a whirly-gig of haunted souls. A gaunt, beautiful spirit is dancing in the room. Drums, guitars, harmonicas, kazoos, pedal steel are playing, but I’m not sure where. My focus is completely on the voices that are so present, I’m in the same pop-up book with them. And the words!
