King Ras Pedro born Pedro Ifil Alonso in Colon, Panama was always passionate about music, leading his own band at an early age. He excelled at playing the trumpet and African Congo drums by embracing his love for music with influences like Bob Marley, Ruben Blades, and Burning Spear. Later, King Ras Pedro continued to develop his own unique sound of reggae music featuring Spanish and English conscious lyrics, not to be mistaken with Reggaeton. The ruthless streets of Colon, Panama and Brooklyn, New York, where he too resided, helped develop his distinct sound as he began performing alongside Panamanian reggae artists Calito, Chicho Man, Nando Boom, General, and El Negro Jetro. King Ras Pedro eventually took a hiatus and as he continued to meditate and grow deeper in spirituality, fully immersing himself into Rastafari.

With his spirituality, cultural background, and experience, King Ras Pedro is sent to bring the fire with his album; Karma is Love due to be released on November 2 2013,produced by King Ras Pedro and Rastar Records. Coming soon two electrifying singles; Judgment a Come (September 2013) and In the Ghetto (October, 2013), and hear how King Ras Pedro’s diverse sound touches your soul, feeds your mind, and moves your feet.
