Review by: Henrik Holmgren Melodic.net Tom Wehrle returns with a new album. As always this is an independent, self-produced affair but the main difference that I can hear is the use of more electronic instruments and sounds. I wrote in an early review that I think Wehrle handles slower songs better than up-tempo song so I am a little bit wary when I realize that there are a lot of uptempo songs on here. This album starts off with two of the weaker songs but just hold on towards the middle and the end is where the good songs hang out. I still feel like Wehrle's voice drowns out when there are too many layers and instruments and I do like the piano-led slower songs on here as well. "Alibi" is a wonderful song and so is "I Got You". The new sound is both adding and subtracting to the quality of the album. I do not like the sounds on "All My Heart Can Hold" but I like the "Still Feels the Same" which is a duet with Catherine Hurst, who has a beautiful voice and it adds up to the best song on the album. There are some of Wehrle's best songs to date on here and this is according to me his best album so far. However, I do believe that it is the up-tempo songs that let this album down. Overall this is some fine craftsmanship by Wehrle who did all the producing, recording, mixing and engineering on here as well as writing all but one song. Check it out if you liked what he did on his previous records, you will not be disappointed. Competent and reliable music!
