Raven Girl, A Retrospective, Volume One from Caroline Doctorow features guest appearances by Nanci Griffith harmony on Raven Girl ) Pete Kennedy, John Sebastian, Happy Traum, Danny Weiss, Barbara Lamb, Gary Oleyar and Eric Weissberg and others.

Also represented are Doctorow's two recent tribute albums which interpret the work of important American folk songwriters, Another Country...The Songs of Richard and Mimi Fariña and I Carry All I Own...The Songs of Mary McCaslin. Both albums were hailed by critics and produced by Pete Kennedy, whose production credits include Nanci Griffith's recent studio recording "Intersection."

This disc includes two new songs, "Emmy Electric" featuring Nashville's famed fiddler Barbara Lamb, and "The Trigger in My Mind" (co-written with Jim Cooney,) and this song was included in the documentary film "Breakdown" which is narrated by Breaking Bad star Steven Michael Quesada.
