Ecker and Stanton touched on the special relationship that a couple can share over a long period of time in their 2013 hit, "No Turnin' Back." This time around, long bonds of love and devotion are covered as well, although dealt with in a somewhat bittersweet template that recognizes the challenges involved in keeping love fresh. The song, as with "No Turnin' Back," a Hollywood Music in Media Award nominee, was written, in particular, with Ecker's wife, Linda, in mind. Many of his other love songs also have been inspired by her after they married in 1987. Love certainly triumphs over all in "You're the Reason..." in a fresh southern country - rock style that proves to all that The C.R. Ecker is intent on never making two songs sound alike in its expanding portfolio, a combination of Traditional Country and its new "Heartland" sound. It is sung by Michael Stanton who also provides the "crunch" in the instrumentation with a Dobro guitar, now introduced for the first time into the band's tool kit!
