Who would have thought it would take six years to recapture the magic? Lovesliescrushing's third album, Glissceule, proved such a pause was more than worth it. Their first for Sonic Syrup, Lovesliescrushing brings their lustrously amazing dream pop, scaling it for something intrinsic and loose. Glissceule is golden, with Melissa Arpin's signature vocal warmth a gloss of tingling hushes on "Gloscien" and "Eishglinl." Scott Cortez's misty guitar work is unbroken and billowy on the elusive "Lissc." The album is a mesmerizing collection of beautiful noise, 17 tracks of pearly lightness, angelically naïve with drumless textures. Lovesliescrushing once again panders to those who can't get enough of the abstract ethereality of dream pop.
