简介

Tenor Christopher Sidoli and pianist/composer John Thomas have created a full-length compact disc of beautiful and inspiring music. The twelve tracks on the recording feature classical and modern music by a constellation of composers and include art songs, pop classics, Broadway treasures, film themes, two world premiere recordings of songs composed by Lucy Simon, and original music by John Thomas. The music and lyrics celebrate the stars, the moon, oceans, rivers, love and the human spirit. Thomas says, “We are so grateful for the support and encouragement that so many people have given to us for this recording. It is a wonderful thing for musicians to experience. It is our hope that our music is filled with the same good energy that we have received.” Sidoli says, “This is the album I have always wanted to record. I have had many musical influences, and I think most of them can be heard throughout our album: theater, film scores, Italian opera. The album is based on the concert series that John Thomas and I started in the summer of 2012 in Provincetown on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It is somewhat ironic that we recorded an album celebrating the beauty and elements of a lovely summer evening in Manhattan during one of the worst winters in the city's history. I am thrilled to present this recording and to have it heard.” Christopher Sidoli has been spending summers on Cape Cod since childhood and performed in his early teens at the Harwich Junior Theater. On the Cape he has performed at the Academy of Performing Arts, Cape Rep, Cape Cod Opera, Counter Productions, and with the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra. Off Broadway he was seen in the smash hit "The Awesome 80's Prom", "June Again" (EST) and "The Children of Children" (Merkin Hall). For six years he traveled the North and South American continents with the Broadway tour of "CATS" in the featured roles of Gus, Growlitger, and Bustopher Jones. He has performed in 49 states in some of the most legendary theaters in the country. He is one of the featured trio of the critically acclaimed "Mama and Her Boys", which played to an extended run in Provincetown and Off Broadway in New York City. He also starred in "CATS" at the Merry Go Round Playhouse opposite Taylor Dayne. He has studied voice with Anne Turner, Joan Kobin, Melissa Dye, and Marisa Michelson. He has been a longtime student of the Kimberly Vaughn Acting Studio. He is a graduate of Skidmore College and a Filene Scholar. Audiences have heartily enjoyed his performances at the Broadway concerts in the "Great Music on Sundays @5" concert series at the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House of Provincetown. He has performed on Cape Cod playing Harold Hill in "The Music Man" at Harwich Junior Theater; with "Zoë Lewis and the Bootleggers"; at "Showgirls"; and on Sunday evenings at Tin Pan Alley with John Thomas. Christopher is a proud member of Actors’ Equity. facebook.com/christopher.sidoli John Thomas is a composer, pianist, music director, actor, photographer, writer and event producer.
