EXP is an explosive high-energy rock experience that’s guaranteed to blow your mind.. Everytime. “We wanna be the first band on the moon” states guitarist-vox T.C. Coleman. EXP is described as “The Rock Revolution” by the music press including Zero magazine and the East Bay Express.. Call it Rock, Power-pop, Alternative; call it what you will. They have a sound and look all their own.. EXP’s frontline consists of English-Irishman T.C. Coleman on lead guitar-and vox; Northern California native John Montes on bass and vox, and Doug English on the drums. EXP’s goal and purpose is to ”Bring Back The Rock”. The thousands who have witnessed the EXP spectacle often compare them to Lenny Kravitz, The White Stripes, Hendrix, Wolfmother, Radiohead,, Nirvana, as well as a contemporary Zeppelin meets The Beatles. They’ve shared the stage with over fifteen national acts including Dishwalla,, Avril Lavign, The Calling, Gin, Blossoms, Remy Zero, Collective Soul, Hootie and The Blowfish, Hawthorne Heights, Drowning Pool to name a few. The band has played over three hundred professional shows including such notable venues as the Arco Arena, B.B. Kings, Stockton Arena, the State Capitol, Magic Mountain, Stockton Ports Stadium, John Thurman Field and the Knitting Factory and have played to thousands live and over the radio. They’ve also been nominated and have won several awards and battle of the band contests nation wide. Wherever EXP goes, the party follows. Jim Phillips from the San Francisco Chronicle writes "Coleman whips the crowd into a frenzied excitement with each blistering riff. Playing behind his back, through his knees, and with his tongue, the performance left the crowd begging for more." EXP has appeared on television including Good Morning Sacramento, F.M.F. and On Demand, and their music has been featured in films, television and radio.. The band’s upcoming full length self-titled release was produced by Michael Klooster, keyboardist from the rock band Smash Mouth. Klooster says EXP is a “A hard working, straight forward, hard hitting power-trio that is dangerously good”. The Metro Daily Review calls the band’s latest single “highly inventive”, EXP; as a true rock entity, believes that the world is there for the taking. “Hello world, Meet EXP” writes journalist John McFarlane from Everyday Variety.
