简介
Edison Grove is an independent artist from Canada who is situated in Calgary, Alberta. His music is a form of expression utilized to communicate a mood, but more importantly is designed to be easy listening, inspiring and relaxing. All of the components of Edison Grove's music are composed, performed and recorded by himself. He is heavily influenced by "The National" "MGMT" "The Beatles" and "Cage the Elephant". "Look Away" is composed with emphasis on the instrumental. However, the lyrics are crucial to set the ominous, self-critical, tone of the single. "Look Away" is a critical message directed towards the upper-class north american population. It is about how the upper-class thinks very little about serious, life-threatening issues until it is too big of a problem to manage. The song contains cryptic allusions to popular figures implying that the main focus of people's attention ought to be on issues of critical importance as opposed to ones of futile celebrity gossip and so on. Aside from the messages within the lyrics, "Look Away" is aimed at inspiring feelings sorrow and predictable ominous endings. Though it does sound extremely heavy and dark, it was not created as a message, the message is simply an overtone of the song, this song was constructed to engulf the listener's ears in a fountain of layered effects driven guitar lines and world percussion inspired grooves.
