In My Dreams was written in reflection to a time when my husband was away from home for several weeks at a time for either school or work. We shared our first kiss at the river, and that location became an "escape" in our hearts and minds that we could be together even if work or school kept us apart. When we were still dating, every night before we'd go to sleep we would say "see you at the river". That phrase stuck and the song was born.
