This hip-hop project grew from Nomadic being invited to record in Melodic Soul’s studio. The studio was set up in a dorm room at the Institute of American Indian Arts. Nomadic and Melodic Soul would freestyle for hours to different beats. They recorded This Darkness and later the session turned into multiple sessions in the lab. The out come was True Reality. The album was done in 2008 but was passed along to many fans, artists, and producers. The album had a few interested record labels. Nomadic and Melodic Soul never really thought of releasing the album and would come up with several ideas of what to do with the project. One label wanted them to re-record the whole album in a different studio and release it. After several requests Nomadic & Melodic Soul decided to release the project on their own. They admired the raw sound that they created and are proud to now showcase their talents to the world.
