Whenever my Band of Legends and I enter the studio to record a new singer-songwriter album, we always make time for an improvised "space jam." Over six albums and as many years, I keep hearing that these "improvised inspirations" were favorite tracks. So I took all the jams from the singer-songwriter albums, added two new ones, and put them on this album. It's called "No Words" because there are no lyrics, no singing, and, well, no words. My Band of Legends are wizards at what they do: drummer Joe Vitale (same name as me), bass man Glenn Fukunaga, lead guitar Daniel Barrett. All I had to do is begin a riff and they would fall in, and from there, The Great Something would guide us. I am proud of these tracks and in awe of them. They came from "nowhere" and are "now here" - same word, but what a difference a dash makes. Enjoy the music. Much Love. - Dr Joe Vitale
