For songwriter and singer Arthur Moore, "ECLECTIC" is an album that has quite literally been a long time coming. It's a collection of 11 songs that are in reality a reflection of Arthur's many moods, personal experiences and observations over time...hence the title, "ECLECTIC" . "Stayin' Young", although on the surface just sounds like a fun and danceable "pop" song, is in reality also a personal commentary on Arthur's desire to always be vibrant, youthful, healthy and relevant regardless of what any calender or clock might attempt to say on the matter. Sure, "Might Be Love" is another fun song to sing along to and admittedly even a little repetitive at times, lol, but it's also very much a lyrical encouragement to anyone who is considering throwing in the proverbial towel on a relationship that has yet to have been given a decent amount of time or even a real chance to prove itself to be hopeless, or perhaps to be the real thing. "Masterpiece" is an apology like no other you've ever heard. This lovely, yet somehow powerful ballad delivers a message of repentance & making amends that touches the hearts of both women and men alike. When you realize you've already had the best, it's allot easier to admit you've messed things up and to begin working toward reconciliation. One might say "Let's Make A Lil' Music" is a horny Lil' pop song. lol That being said, it's certainly fun to sing along with as well as dance to. The lyrics are a play on the expression, "let's make beautiful music together", with a decidedly sexy Lil' underpinning. "Don't Throw Love Away" is Arthur's personal commentary on the power of love and faith within a relationship to overcome adversity. Remember to save your love for when things are most difficult so that you'll always remember that love is what's most important. And you will know that it's love because you'll recognize the mutual bond that always has the strength to survive remarkable challenges that would otherwise pull you apart. Danceable, though it may be, "It Won't Be Long" is in fact also a story about a guy who, despite evidence to the contrary, has convinced himself that the object of his affection is soon going to leave the one she's with and come over and "dance" with him instead. Gotta love him! lol Okay, admittedly, perhaps Arthur's just a little strange! You see, "Just Out of Reach" is a song about someone who wants desperately to be with someone else who is apparently just a little out of thier league. I just hope that the dude in this song isn't some kind of latent stalker or something. "Springing Into Action" is either Arthur Moore's musical tribute to the comic book heros that he watched as a kid every Saturday morning on television, or another horny "pop" song. Could be both. I guess you'll have to decide for yourself. As sexually suggestive "pop" lyrics go, "Mystery of Love" is pretty interesting to say the least. It's a song about someone who realizes that when someone else appears to be knowledgeable about their feelings in general, perhaps the mystery that is love is also within their grasp of understanding/explaining. "Kissing You" speaks to what it's like to be both lonely and longing at the same time. Where ever he happens to be, and what ever his circumstances, he relives the kiss of his love to help him get through, real or imagined. "My Turn Table" just may be the absolute horniest "pop"/dance song on Arthur's entire album. lol The lyric is an invitation to come on over and enjoy an uninhibited sexual experience involving music, (among other sounds), and multiple positions. Aside from being a little "horny" in places, lol, "ECLECTIC" is in reality a collection of some of Arthur Moore's most creative as well as fun to sing and dance to "pop"and R&B style, Indie songs.
