This song idea started with something that was brewing in my co-writer Dave Pickell's head. We heard that Kelly Pickler, an American Idol finalist, was looking for songs. I read that this country girl, Kelly, was headed for New York for a show and that she was recently engaged to be married...and so the story line came together. Taking the good with some bad...that's the sentiment we wanted to get across.There were many drafts before we were happy...not sure if Pickler ever heard it...but you can! I love it!
