A native of Los Angeles, Phillip Lauth began his illustrious career early in life. His first “mentors” were old MGM musicals, along with Sammy Davis Jr., Johnny Mathis and Glenn Campbell albums. His first recording – “Heavy Duty” played in Seattle when he was only 5 years old. Unfortunately he was too young to accept the offer of the European tour! As soon as he was old enough to orchestrate his own career, he was in demand as an accomplished performer, working up and down the West Coast. This led to appearances in many major casinos in Las Vegas. He was a featured artist on the popular daytime SANTA BARBARA drama’s debut album, “Love Songs.” His rendition of “Welcome to the Edge“ was the most-requested song internationally. That led to a booking in the main room at the Flamingo20Hilton – Reno as part of the AMERICAN SUPERSTARS show, as one of the members of the Temptations cover group. Most recently his song “It Might As Well Be Me” was the anthem for the Obama victory celebration video (originally performed in the feature film, “Boy Meets Girl” sta rring Jasmine Guy)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbmuIg-7wsk. Phillip can also be heard singing “Show You How to Drive” in the ESPN2 world premiere film THE JUNCTION BOYS. Personally he received commendations from Clark County Schools for his participation in their program to provide students with musical instruments donated by musicians. As a result of his diverse musical background, he is known as an eclectic performer of today – embracing all styles and genres.
