The electro-queer-cabaret duo evolved out of the solo project of Johnny Fantastic which now includes the propulsive beats/voice of Leah Gage (BRNDA). Together the Duo creates some of the most colorful music in Blight. Records’ line-up and pulls inspiration from the pantheon of *****, Depeche Mode, Erasure and Scott Walker. Their experimental noise-pop is undeniably danceable but distinguishes itself with the crooning power-vocals and sharp-witted song writing of Johnny Fantastic. The group’s sound moves from rapturous to whimsically nightmarish, fueled by their inventive electronic arrangements. After creating a cult following in DC with the release of “Love is a Herring” in 2014 and their self-titled LP in 2015, Stronger Sex is back with their new single "Dating"which both mocks and relishes in the absurdity of modern dating under a bed of relentless emotionally charged synthpop.
