Dwayne Castleberry aka Mr. Savage is an hip-hop artists from Cleveland, Ohio. Dwayne has been a writer since childhood, writing poems, and creating comic books. He started rapping on corners (Yeah we used to do that.lol) in the late 80’s (Mostly covering famous songs like “Candyman’s” I’m the Candyman), but began to take hip-hop serious in the mid-90’s. Savage teamed with his close friend Venus “Big Dog”Taylor and created K-9 Mafia Studios. Every night K-9 studios would broadcast from their secret hacked radio signal (only known by a faithful few, until now). At that time Mr. Savage was named C-Beezy the Mafioso and released one underground album,“Split Personality” , two group albums(“K-9 Mafia” and “Castleberry’s Finest”), and was featured on several local mixtapes and albums. In 2004, Dwayne changed his moniker to “Bishop the Dude” and dedicated his musical talents to community service and along with Neidus “Mr. Nice Guy” Nelson created “Diligent Saints”, a non-profit organization. The next couple of years were rocky for Savage as he fought through a few record deals that didn’t pan out. In 2011, Baby Bishop changed his moniker to Mr. Savage and presented Savage Castle Productions to the world. “Live like a savage”. In 2013, Mr. Savage continued his mission to create legendary music starting with the free group project “Land of The Savage” featuring, Mr. Castleberry, Mr. Ant Skeez, Big Sal the Tank, and Scobaby of Grind Family Productions. In 2014, Savage released his solo mixtape "Lion King" showing his range of talent with spoken word, romantic jams, and head bangers. In 2015, the release of "Love and Pain" signals a turning point for Mr. Savage. His first studio album features an array of art focused and life and its many happenings that bring us joy and pain. Spoken word and rapid fire lyrics frame this masterpiece with features from amazing artists like Charles Reed, Jones, and Gods Child.
