简介
SPENCER WIGGINS UNLEASHES \"KEY TO THE KINGDOM\" Local gospel recording artist Spencer Wiggins is blowing up the airwaves with the title cut from his new CD album \"Key To The Kingdom\". This recently released single is climbing the charts at Number 21 on the Miami\'s 1490-AM WMBM\'s playlist, and will be soon added to gospel programs at 99 JAMZ and Hot 105. It was produced by rising Miami producer Tommi Demerritte and released in Miami, New York City, Atlanta and Memphis by Demerritte\'s Tavette Records. This song has a powerful message about forsaking worldly treasures for God\'s Kingdom, and features Wiggins\' soaring soulful vocals over a bluesy track. \"Key To The Kingdom\" is supported by an outstanding music video shot in Miami\'s urban area, including New Birth Baptist Church, by Tavette\'s talented video director Antwan Smith. Recently Wiggins had the opportunity to sing \"Key To The Kingdom\" before the entire South Florida television audience on the initial Rick Sanchez Show on local NBC affiliate WTVJ Channel 6. His CD album and single can be found locally at Specs Records, FYE, the New Birth Bible Bookstore, Pages of Life Bible Bookstore, Daniel Bible Bookstore, and Blue Note Records. National distribution is anticipated in the very near future. Spencer Wiggins, a deacon at New Birth, is embarking upon his second attempt at releasing gospel music. According to Spencer, \"This time around is special since my record label had enough faith in me to record a whole album, along with an outstanding music video. That\'s when the radio stations know that you\'re serious.\" Local radio and TV stations are also giving considerable airplay to a Florida Marlins fight song produced by Tavette Records that features Spencer Wiggins and other label and guest artists. Spencer\'s music is indeed very serious as he attempts to break through in the gospel arena after a very successful career as an R&B singer where he was well known throughout the South. It was during these R&B days that he shared the stage with such legends like B.B. King, Al Green, Elvis Presley and Wilson Pickett. After meeting and marrying his wife, the former Ms. Bennie Mae McCoy in Jacksonville, Spencer moved to Hollywood, Florida. He soon began attending Miami\'s Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where he was one of the original members to help found New Birth Baptist Church where he currently serves as a choir director and deacon. Pastor Victor T. Curry recently acknowledged Spencer\'s contributions and musical success by introducing his video and CDs in special services held on September 21st. The songs on the CD represent a vast array of different musical styles. \"We didn\'t want it to be like other gospel albums\", explained Tavette Records President Tommi Demerritte. \"We wanted to make sure that Spencer\'s music would reach out to his more mature fan base as well as bring young people to Christ with his music and messages. That\'s why I made sure to include hip-hop elements in much of the music on the CD and in the video.\" The result is a CD with 18 solid tracks that has been very well received by listeners of all ages and radio programmers of all styles of gospel music. \"There is a little something for everyone\", says WMBM\'s radio personality Lydia Goodin, who is featured on the album interviewing Wiggins. \"I was honored to be asked to do what I could to assist someone as talented and deserving as Spencer Wiggins.\" In addition to the original gospel ballad track, \"Key to The Kingdom\'s\" CD single features four (4) different remixes including an acoustic sounding unplugged mix, a Deep South ride out mix filled with trunk bass, and a dance beat version designed for gospel clubs that are gaining popularity in the Northern states. \"All the DJs have their favorite mixes, but some days I just play them all\", says Jose Miller, morning personality for WMBM. According to Spencer, \"We didn\'t want to leave anyone out. We feel that everybody should have a chance to receive the messages in this song, regardless of the music style they like.\" Surely, \"Key To The Kingdom\" has gotten off to a great start in on its way to, hopefully, sweeping across the nation and representing South Florida in fine fashion!
