Scarlet Revolt (formerly Under Surveillance) is a Charleston, WV based rock band formed in 2012, with a hard-edged, melodic rock sonic. According to Do Savannah Magazine, the SR have a “classic [sound] with a modern tilt.” SR are disarmingly honest and raw live, with an engaging, intense performance capturing listeners from the first notes. Eve Marcum-Atkinson’s powerful and dynamic vocal style and sassy stage presence adds both grace and edge to their front, while drummer CJ Davis’s aggressive, acrobatic style provides a rock solid foundation. The SR core is comprised of veteran musician’s songwriter/guitarist Phil Hatfield and bassist Phil “X” Crace, who began performing together in high school. US released an independent CD, “Between the Lines” in December 2013, and their sophomore CD, “Savannah Moon” dropped in February 2016. US signed a two year agreement with Factory Fast Records (FFR) in New York in April 2016, who called it “one of the best rock albums in years.” FFR released two singles from Savanna Moon, with ‘99 Reasons’ from their Sans Nom compilation disc hitting #34 on the Indie Mix Arts Chart in May 2016, and receiving airplay on internet and FM stations worldwide. An Ep, “Awakening” dropped in December 2016, and a third CD, “Cold Town” is planned for 2017. We have performed at venues such as the Empire Concert Club in Akron OH, the world famous 40 Watt Club in Athens, GA, Bosswoodstock in Columbus OH, and Phase Two in Lynchburg, VA, along with numerous others across Midwestern and southeastern states. SR is planning to expand into the northeastern and western states soon.
